La economía del país disfrutó de un constante y estable crecimiento en el primer semestre del presente año, registrando una tasa de crecimiento del 4,88 por ciento en el segundo trimestre, puntualizó un funcionario del CPDE.
Según el mismo funcionario, las principales instituciones económicas internacionales estimaron que la tasa de crecimiento económico global para el año 2011 aún podría alcanzar el 3 por ciento, lo cual daría también un impulso a las exportaciones de Taiwan.
En lo referente a la demanda interna, el funcionario dijo que el Gobierno seguirá haciendo el mejor uso del Acuerdo Marco de Cooperación Económica (ECFA, siglas en inglés) firmado entre Taiwan y China continental para mejorar aún más el clima de inversiones local, con miras a atraer a más empresarios extranjeros a realizar inversiones en la isla.
Además, se espera que la apertura de las puertas de Taiwan a los viajeros independientes libres (FIT, siglas en inglés) de China continental a finales de junio siga estimulando el consumo del sector civil, contribuyendo así a una cada vez más fuerte demanda interna, añadió el mismo funcionario.
No obstante, el funcionario advirtió también que tanto la crisis de deudas europea como la alta tasa de desempleo de Estados Unidos y la zona del euro ejercerían un impacto adverso sobre la economía global.(Por Lin Hui-chun y Luis Huang) Enditem
